I passed one about half again bigger today at 6 yards  , because there was a bigger one 20 yards behind him following and the wind was good. The bigger one hung to their right about 5 yards and had a screen of small brush and pin oak limbs between us. I was at full draw  while he covered 15 yards going by and then he turned back out at 25-30 into the open.

How do they know to do stuff like this?   Do I need a HECS suit? Aluminum foil ball cap?

Its all good, love it!!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Had several run-ins with this young buck.  This morning I got a real good look at him.  He has a broken front leg but gets around pretty well.  Only a 1.5 yr old but has split brows and split g2's for a total of 13 pts!!!

that deer looks to be at least a 2 1/2 year old. look how big his neck is and the bases on antlers. i dont think hes that young. may be an older deer.

That pic makes him look bigger than he is.  I've watched several times this year travelling with a spike early and they are the same body size.  He's got the same genetics as a giant that was recently found dead on the next property over.  I only got to see a picture but it had a similar rack just 3x's larger...

A nice Hoosier sunset kept me company while I waited yesterday.
