It has been a serious mental battle for me to completely switch to trad. Mostly due to my lack of confidence in shooting an animal because I am mostly concerned about making an ethical shot. This year I told myself I would take a buck with my longbow. And on November 3rd.. I achieved that goal in perfect fashion.
I hadn't seen anything all morning long while sitting over my clover plot I had planted in early September. My buddy texted me asking if I had seen anything and I texted back not a thing at 8:37. I looked up after putting my phone in my pocket and here he comes.. Straight across the plot at me on a string. I stopped him at 5 yards and he only ran 40 yards before tumbling over. I had trail cam pics of this guy during the summer but the majority of them started two weeks ago over a nearby scrape. I couldn't be happier! And more addicted to trad!!
Sorry if the pics are too large my computer is broke and I'm doing this from my phone. I believe I have sized them correctly. If try are too big will someone help me resize them on photo buckets app?
