Tell me about CX 75's
« on: November 09, 2012, 08:32:00 PM »
Due to a torn rotator cuff, I've settled into the 30-40lb range for bows. I'm having surgery soon, because the pain is impacting daily life with 4 kids.
While the Dr. said I'd be able to pull 50lbs after a year, I'm staying with the light weights from here on out.
I have good success with Grizzly Stik Sitka's on most light bows and some with CX 150's, I was wondering if some here had experiences with CX 75's in the lower weight bow ranges?
I looked at the CX chart, but I wonder if that is more for compounds?
Thanks in advance.

When I needed some shoulder rehab, I shot a 33# Mohawk longbow that loves to shoot full length CX 75s.  My draw length is 29"....

The same bow does extremely well with 2013s and 40-45# woodies.

Good luck with your surgery - I chose to switch to LH shooting to avoid the knife.  So far so good...been shooting LH for 3 years now....

Shoot straight, Shinken

My shoulder issue is far more than just shooting a bow.
Lifting a bowl of soup into a microwave has become a sharp painful event.

I have some CX 75,great arrow in a .600 spine.Has a heavier GPI then most other .600 spine arrows.I also have some of the GT 15/35 blems in dark woodgrain, these are longer, they are 32" to start. The CX 75 are I think about 30" full length. The GT 15/35 use the same componets as all the other GT shafts, same nocks and inserts. The CX 75 is a 9/32" shaft, all you have is the aluminum inserts.Or you can make some heavier inserts by fileing down some brass inserts to fit.

I've used 90's a good bit in 45 pound bows and they are a great shaft. I'd expect nothing less of the 75's..

Best of luck with your shoulder..
