I knew the shot was steep however when that deer turned his head and was licking his back side, it was all too perfect.  He was standing down wind from me, I cant believe he didn't smell me.  The fact that its a high traffic public piece probably worked in my favor.

Any How, there he is Perfectly broadside, his head was turned the other way!

Crack!!! I guess I had shot, don't remember much of the details.

I spined him and had to finish him.

I want to thank all of my friends that have helped me get here.  The pressure I have been placing on myself to kill a deer with a special bow was a little much.  It is a relief to finally have lifted some of it.

I have to thank Steve for helping me today. There is no way I would be out yet, I would still be dragging.

He's in good shape but I was impressed when he could pull my deer on a cart and carry his son at the same time.  Thanks again bud, everyone needs as pal like Steve.          :archer:

Plus he took some awesome pictures!  My self photos didnt work out too well.

Again Charlie, congratulations brother! That's a beautiful buck! I'm kinda shocked the bow was not marked "Grizzly" but it's all good! I'm proud of ya! Enjoy a pipe, stoke the fire, and fall asleep tonight with a grin on your face!

Good job charlie..21 years isn't a long time to do things the way you feel is right..it was our pleasure to help with the drag out..the deer drag / child carry is a move I developed years ago to increase time in the woods..keep up the good work!
