Friendly Debate. Morrison LB vs Recurve noise level
« on: November 13, 2012, 02:35:00 PM »
Trying to settle a lil friendly debate here.

Lets say you have a modern ILF riser like....Oh lets say a Bob Morrison 17" and you have two sets of limbs. Same pounds, same draw, same arrows ect. Only difference is one set of carbon foam LB limbs and one set of Max1 recurve limbs.

Are you going to really be able to stand back and tell a big difference?

I've been playing with a set of medium MAX I limbs on my DAS riser. Very quiet. Have super short MAX I limbs on my wife's DAS riser. Quietest recurve I have ever shot. I have shot and heard noisier  long bows.

There are very few recurves in the market place that are as quiet as a longbow.  So with that you will be able to hear the difference.  But I doubt it really is enough to matter.
