Hi All,

Any experiences with elk hunting in Kentucky??  It's a lot closer to West Virginia than Colorado. :-)

I've been putting in for it since the very first year they offered tags....No luck yet!

Never question a man's choice in bows or the quality of an animal he kills.  He is the only one who has to be satisfied with either of those choices.

I've put in for the draw every year since it's been going exept this year. Finally gave up on getting drawed. My Dad got drawed a couple years ago and took a cow.
Sometimes I think that crap is rigged for people who got money and then they throw a few tags to the common man to make it look good.
Blessed be the Lord my strength; which teacheth my hands to war and my fingers to fight.

I've been putting in from the beginning myself... One of these days! It would be cool to shoot an elk this side of the MS.

LOL.  I'm sure most of us killed plenty with the wheels prior to going trad, but he's all about the bowhunting now and he's starting to shoot an old 45# Shakespear I've got in the basement w/ high hopes of hunting w/ it soon!

I shopped around before booking w/ Hurley Combs of Lost Mountain Outfitters becaused the guy is a bowhunter and understands bowhunters.  He's got not 1 but 2 bucks in the 200" range he's bow killed.  I know there was another member who his uncle Danny guided to a longbow cow last season.  Great guys!

Yep, I put in every year, but figure my wife used up all our Lu k when she drew and got her 4x4 here in KY! One of my best friends drew a bull tag this year, got a nice 6x6, another buddy drew a cow tag, he goes hunting in December. I may get to go w him .
