Stories and pics for us to drool over
« on: August 16, 2007, 07:12:00 AM »
Hey guys,

Heading over to Afghanistan as I write this.....

After a few months in Afghanistan,it's on to Iraq for another few months.I'm hoping to be home sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. My hunting season I've been looking forward to is all but a bust now so I'm gonna have to try to live thru all the stories and pics everyone posts,so please keep 'em coming as the season progresses.

Not sure exactly how much access I'll have to the internet, but you can bet I'll be checking in every chance I get to see how things are going.

Wish me luck, and please, please send some prayers out for my family, and wife especially who's not exactly taking it well because of where I'm going.I'm more worried about her holding up while I'm gone than I am about what I'll be going thru.

Hopefully I'll be home to finish out the last week of the season with some tree time........

Until then, everyone take care, and good luck.
Bowhunting......A way of life and death.

Varmint,
Words alone can not express the appreciation I have for you, your family, and all the men and women that have chosen to serve our Great Nation.

Is there anything that you or your family need?

Hope you can get back in time for the Holidays and a little tree time.  Keep us posted.

Thanks,GR

Prayers up for you and your family.  Brings back memories from 1970 when I shipped out to Viet Nam.  Me and the Mrs. were just married 3 weeks when Uncle Sam came call'in.  I was attending night classes and only taking 6 hours (needed 9 hours to be deferred).  Went into the Army only 6 weeks after being married.  Not a great start but here we are some 38 years later, still married and I'm happier than ever.

Take care and God Bless.  Thank you so much for your dedicated Service to our Great Country!  As a Combat Vet, I still thank those who choose to keep us free.
