Mickey, Shoot whatever you need to do just as long as you shoot. Heck my Youngest even has a couple spare dark side bows with wheels if you need to borrow one!

I won't say a word (HeHe), I'll just send you pic's of the critters I shoot with my selfbows and make you feel bad  :bigsmyl:    :bigsmyl:

By the way I even shoot the plastic arrow nocks.

Now I'm smiling.   :bigsmyl:

Guys thanks., and quit sending me PM's with offers of high tech bows I can use. LOL

I had a feeling that was coming.  I'm a "high tech sleazy guy", but I've read everything on your website and admire "who you are".

And here I was going to say you could hunt with one of those horizontal contraptions since you live in Ohio, until you get your strength back and all that is.    :biglaugh:

I don't think you could go wrong with a sheepeater..I've heard alot of good things about them.

I'm glad that you are still able to shoot and hunt; matters not what you shoot, as long as the joy of the arrows flight still excites your soul,,,yes?

You may be pleasantly surprises when you go back to glass bows, I know I was!

that being said, FrenchyManny is making me an osage Torges style selfbow to die for, so I will be shooting both.
Good luck, hunt well and post lots of pics Mickey.      :campfire:

Mickey it doesn't matter to us bro..what matters is to YOU and your feeling of being in the woods with nature ..nature is a sure cure..a 50 lb fiberglass bow is just as hard to draw as a 50 lb selfbow..with that said if I can make you something till you get well hit me up..cane shafts, stone points, you let me know bro..I might even send you a PROPERLY made cane shaft that is foreshafted not plugged..LOL..just kiddin with that comment bro...again you let me know if I can help you for once.....gut
to take from nature the materials needed to take from nature the meat needed....

Just worry about your health, not about what kinda bow you shoot or the draw weight.  or even the sort of nocking points you use.  Heck...even if you can't shoot at all for a while, just keep the faith and try to keep enjoying life.   You will be back to shooting your treasured works of art before you know it.

I am mostly a sleazy tramp, Mostly. LOL! but I would not feel normal any other way.

Mickey,

I think you ought to do it just to check your compass.  But SURELY you have a glass backed bow or three around the house already.....

I can't wait for Ferret's new "Glass Bows" page on his web site.  The first picture will show him holding some cash and in the second he'll be shooting a bow.    :knothead:
