j.d berry string follow bow "the misty dawn"
« on: November 19, 2012, 05:27:00 PM »
well i twisted someones arm, and sold some bows to make some funds. and soon i will have my new jdberry stringfollow bow. hes had the form for a long time just doesnt advertise it. but i talked him into busting it out. and soon i will have the first one made in a while. im so lucky.
if its anywhere close to his vixen im gonna have a heck of a bow. which im sure it will be. as of right now its gonna be bamboo limbs with some kinda fancy maple veneers and a fumed purple heart riser. i cant wait to get it. all of james's bows are works of art. and crazy good shooters. and of course i will post some pics when i get it. if i can set it down long enough.

Is this the man whose judgement you'd follow?....lol

I guess being as how he is one of the "Merry Men" he may have some added validity to his choices...lol

God bless,Mudd

PS: note he is smart enough to have been shooting one of the best bows I've been blessed to have owned.

Went over to Jame's this morning, Shawn sorry to say I shot your bow before you did and what a sweet shooter it is. I really like the name James choose for this model he named it after my daughter "Misty Dawn" Tajuse 17 I never did build a string follow bow. The brochure you seen years ago was J D Berrys, I know he had it in there for a short time in the late 90's.

You Berry fans, how many of you have seen one of these?  I was at James' shop a few years back and this is one that we made. I say "we" but you know James did all the real work. He would only let me sand. This is a takedown Argos. I don't think he made more than a dozen or so.
