That makes 3 with my bow and two with the smokepole pat.
This buck and I played cat and mouse for about an hour untill I could stalk close enough. I finally closed the distance to about 30 yds when the doe he was dogging turned and was walking right at me. I thought she was going to get to close and find out something was off but at about 8 yds she turned to my right and headed downhill. Well the buck followed but he turned at about 18 yds to take a shortcut down to her and stopped perfectly broadside. I remember hitting anchor then just seeing him take off with just my fletch hanging out right where i was looking.
I found the last 6 inch or so of my arrow about 30 yds from where I hit him but no blood to or from it, but when I got to the arrow i saw the doe he was with about 60 yds away take off. After an hour or so of looking for blood in the dark to no avail I decided to just head to where she was and sure enough but light hit a white belly. He's my best to date with trad and he was taken on the ground to boot.
I used a 56 acadian woods foward grip at 56 pounds with my douglas firs from this year with a old bear greeny on them. Thanks for reading.
