Hey Peter!
I'm proud to be associated with Sitka Gear. Great company with awesome people. The products I've used and seen are top quality and built for bowhunting. Can't wait to do some more field testing in the coming seasons. :)

Congrats to the other trad Sitka dudes.

I'm new, but will be happy to assist anyone with Sitka Gear questions also. [email protected]

Congrats to all the Sitka Gear staff it's neat to be part of the Sitka Gear family.  Way back when I saw the first pieces of Sitka Gear, it was in Salt Lake City at the PBS gathering, I knew it was great stuff.

It is built for us to move, crouch, bend and sit in and most importantly to shoot our bows.

I'd walk a mile for Sitka Gear.   :archer:

Opinion piece to follow:

Peter  can you come up with a better name than Pro Staff? I just got cable this year and been watching some hunting shows and am continually suprised by what people call a "Pro Staff". The term has lost it's meaning. I saw a girl shoot her first deer with a rifle the other day and below her picture was her name and "Pro Staff". How in the hell can someone be on a pro staff that hasn't killed anything yet. Unbelievable.Anymore I see "pro Staff" and think "friend of owner".

Maybe Field Test Staff or Company Representative or something. At least that has a ring of truth to it.

other than that, that is a fine list of people you have selected to represent your company. Best of luck to all.

Please tell me that Sitka is going to have clothing for women. My wife has to buy mostly men's clothing. The Dead Down Wind guys started a line of non scented cosmetics, hair conditioner, skin moitruizer, etc. and it is in high demand. My wife got some and loves it. If more companies made stuff for women there probably would be more of them hunting with us, including our daughters.

I thought I got work up over stuff…... till I met Peter, our trad team leader!!! Ha!  His enthusiasm for every thing he does if very infectious. :>)

I never really worried about my pack weight too much, but now it seems time to lighten the load. Sitka Gear came out just in time!!!

Ferret,

Point well taken. I think you'll find the Sitka guys are definitely not going to fall into the whole ridiculous "Pro Staff" ego and/or self appointed experts. Your idea of a Field Staff is very good. Well most of us will be egoless...Except Guru...Seems now that he is a 2 time Muzzy champ he has become a bit of a "pre-maddona" but I'll try and reign him in.

Bill, Sitka has been getting alot of input regarding a womens line. I know we're exploring that idea. Hopefully your wife will be wearing "Lady Sitka" in the future.

I agree with all of you! The list of guys on the Sitka Team are all first class, solid men. I am humbled to be in the company of such good men

I'm honored to be a part of Sitka, and very glad it worked out the way it did. Quite humbling to see my name on that list.....   :knothead:
