As far as I go....see what you can get by running around half naked? Peter felt sorry for me.
Seriously, I'm looking forward to "testing" the Sitka gear in all kinds of weather and hunting conditions.
"Staff" or no, you guys know you'll get the honest answers from me :-)

You guys know I'm not ragging on you as individuals right? I have the utmost respect for every one of you. Just the concept of the "pro staff" that has been pimped out and whored by a media that thinks anything a "pro staffer" supports will sell. Even if that "pro staffer" that was singing the praises of this bow or that broadhead or a specific camo last season or last week, is now singing the praises of THIS bow, and THIS broadhead, and THIS camo THIS wweek cause he switched "Pro staffs". I know you all have seen it on TV aand in the rags and I know Pete knew what I was talking about right off with his response.

You are all great guys and will represent our sport well, no doubt. Sorry if I offended anyone with my comments.

Curt: You gonna have a vendor's booth at next year's Muzzy? It wouldn't hurt and most of us don't like to buy clothes we can't touch or try on.

I didn't know what this stuff was, so went to the website and checked it out. (Nice website, by the way!) So Pete, how about adding a nice plaid to go along with the loden green and khaki shirts?  There seems to be an increasing market for the non-camo quality hunting clothes.

Since Sitka gear is about clothes, instead of "pro-staff" or "team sitka", maybe just call the guys "fashion models".  Heck, Biggie has been modeling lingerie for a couple years now (fruits of the loom, I think) and Guru was a cover girl once, and Mike is a movie star (although they go straight to DVD instead of the theater), and Pete just looks the part.  Bryce is always in the bowhunting magazines, but he has been known to go to the thrift stores and wally world shopping for warm plaids on sale.

Just a thought, of course.
So don't wait until you retire to go hunting and fishing.  Don't even wait for your annual vacation.  Go at every opportunity.  Things that appear urgent at the moment may, in the long run, turn out to be far less so.

Thanks Mickey! Also I hope your feeling better. Hmm...Biggie as a model? Now thats a thought. The guys is big and cuddley and damn he looks good in a pair of tighty whities.

I would love to see the line in a hunters plaid. But we'll have to see. We will have a Sitka booth at the Muzzy and we are hoping to have a booth at all the major "trad" events in 08'.

From all of us "Models" at Sitka. Have a great season and please let us know how we can help you!

Peter

Guru, you have any of the stuff handy. My son and I will be heading to Alaska next week and I'd like to give some a try. I've read some about it and have seen the adds. Seems to be good quality. I've been up to Alaska 8 times and don't think I'll be stopping anytime soon! : )  I can always use good gear.  Fantastic bunch or "Pro Staff". If the term is to imply these guys are professional in their actions - then Pete - you did good!

I received some of my ASAT sitka gear last week-nice looking stuff-I really like the way it stretches. I will be interested to see how it performs in very cold weather. After seeing it, I find it hard to believe it will be anywhere near as warm as wool, but I'll give it an honest try. Either way it's going to be nice for early to mid-season in Wisconsin.

Prostaff?? What the heck does that mean?  I thought we were all just traditional bowhunters.
May I never have to be elevated to the level of needing a title to feel worthy.

whatever makes you think that any of these guys needs a "title to feel worthy"?

Worthy of what?
