Finally!! One in the freezer
« on: November 26, 2012, 09:09:00 PM »
It finally came together for me yesterday.  My commitment to the longbow has been rewarded with my first trad bow deer.  Until yesterday I had still not even loosed an arrow yet I've been enjoying my best deer season ever.  I've had a 9pt buck at 12 yrds behind a bush never offer a clear shot.  I've had a doe at 5 yards that just wouldn't slow down and even bolted when I BBAAHHDD at her while at full draw.  I had three other does under 15 yards that either busted me because of wind swirling or me moving too much

Congrats!  Those old does can be hard to fool!  Plus, nothing beats some backstraps wrapped in bacon on the grill!

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.
