I was just curious what everyone shoots.  This IS NOT MEANT to start a "whizzin contest"..LOL
Just curious what you are hunting with this year.

Here is how I figured we could list it.

bow make/#/draw length/arrow weight/FPS

mine is

BW PL 64"/51#/30" draw/540gr/172-175fps

66"   61# @ 28"  draw is ~28"
535 - 550 grain arrows
375 fps  (well, it SEEMS like it, never actually checked)

Still not sure which one I will hunt with. They both shoot so well!

I know....I know....speed is not important to a lot of folks OR THE CRITTERS for sure .....LOL  I was just wondering???

My wheel bow I used to shoot was "slow" at 249FPS....so speed is not that important to me either....

ALL my buddies shoot BW recurves and they seem to be in the mid 180's.

The BW PSA I had was 57#@30" and shot 540 gr arrows 185 FPS.

Rose Oak King Panther, 67#@30.5", draw almost 31", full length easton epic 300 with 280 grains up front, filled with poly rope, total arrow weight of 720 grains, speed about 187.  We'll see how she does on the elk next week! (hopefully)

yeah I know that's slow but I like'em that way, as you can see, it took a lot of weight to get her down to a speed I like   :D

58" osage selfbow made by me.
45# @28" I draw 27.5 and it shoots a 535 grain shaft 152fps. Not blazing fast, but it's enough.

608 grain Gold Tip 3555 carbons front loaded with 375 grains point plus weights
176 fps if I don't snap shoot and short draw at 28 inches 165fps.

shooting my voodoo elk bow...76@30.. 600 gr. axis = 203fps.....  I just made up a kingwood riser/ walnut limb t/d longbow.. tested it yesterday [email protected]=227fps...no handshock and very quiet...Defiant,thanks for the walnut lams, they work very well!!        

Nathan.. any news about semo next year??

I was just shooting with Deadsmple. That Mahantango really is a great shooting bow.  Putting this thread TTT so I can compare some more info. Any one?
