Black Widow testdrive
« on: November 28, 2012, 01:56:00 PM »
has anyone here ever used the black widow testdrive.
i bought a PLV awhile back 51@28 and found that i am overbowed so i am trying to sell it and thinking about using the test drive from BW so i can avoid going through this again.

I did for one of my 3 widows. I bought the one they sent me (not always possible) within 45 minutes!

I have done it twice, and it resulted in me getting a longbow that I am extremely pleased with!
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

Its gonna cost you 60 dollars shipping of which you get 30 back if you order a bow on return they will not charge you to ship the new one.  Have you contacted widow to see if they can reduce the weight on the one you have right now to a lower pondage?  They can take up to 5 lbs off just depends on the bow.

It worked for me,after 5 min.I knew just what to order.I have a PSAX and a PLX and wanted a PCH but was unsure of the short site window. The test drive took care of all my questions.I ordered an in stock bow and it is my favorite widow, for now.

I would say you probably could. I have tried limbs without the riser.

I wish i had read this an hour ago and i would have ask John at BW, i was checking to see if they could lower the # on  my PLV and found out because it was ordered as an exact # bow they can only drop 2 to 3 # off it and i am not sure that is enough
