New Widow
« on: August 17, 2007, 09:56:00 AM »
Got my new widow in yesterday.
I dont really like the quiver, its a selway limb mount. The color is just wrong. Do you think i can sand and re-dye it?

Love the new bow though.  :goldtooth:

Danny,
that's a pretty setup.  I don't think sanding and re-dying is the best way to go though.  Why don't you cover that broadhead cup with the same snakeskin as your limbs.  Looks like Canebrakes to me.  Shell and Frank (Stickshooter) here on the Trad Gang do excellent work like that.

well they are copperheads, and i have a few extra to try that with. I was going to put a stripe down the center of the quiver with them.

Beautiful Bow!!! Everytime I see a Widow with snakeskins, it makes me want to send mine back and have them put on. But I don't know if I can go 4-5 weeks without shooting it.  :goldtooth:

I've never seen the spider web finish on the arrows before. I assume they are also made by BW?
Real pretty set up; 2 weeks is plenty of time for a trad ganger!

That looks great!!! I've been wanting to do that for years!! I like the copper head better than the rattlers.

If you don't like the quiver PM me, I've got a new Black widow web tight 7/5 that you might like. I can't use it on my 46# widow only my 51# one and i've got two of the web tight 7's.

Man what a beautiful bow!  That riser looks awesome and I've always thought copperhead skins looked the best.  Congratulations!

I asked my wife if I could get me a widow and she said "If you start home with another woman don't even pull in the driveway, just keep on going!"

Well, till I saw yours, the only Widows I've seen with copperheads on em are my 2.  Did the boys in Nixa put those on or did you??

Take some pics of that thing out in the sun and let's see what it REALLY looks like!!
