Classifieds Issue.......well MY issues

Ok, so I look at the classifieds maybe five, ten times daily. I don't think I have a problem    :)  


I tell you it's hard to see bows in my weight range I want to buy but shouldn't. Adding pretty pictures to the classifieds makes my problem worst.


It's bitter sweet when the thread finally says "SOLD". Sometimes I hope for a quick sale then I don't have to think about it anymore.....and why do I keep opening it up looking at it? !!! Sometimes I'm too late in a bow I would have bought and it gets sold. It's a horrible horrible cycle.


Ya....I have issues with the classifieds    :)

I know what you mean. I just recently started looking through them,and have bought two. I've seen some I wanted and am somewhat relieved when I see the sold because I probably would have bought them to.

There is a cure for the problem you are having. It is called "The Bottomless Checkbook". Get your financial adviser to write a prescription for one, then get it filled as soon as possible.

After that, your only worry is being too late.....

I think ive owned about 10 different trad bows in the last year and have 5 right now with one on the way and a trade pending...

I havent found a cure for it but if my wife finds out i imagine she will!

Ric O'Shay, believe me if I had a bottomless checkbook, I wouldn't be late. My problem is denting the bottom of my check book too frequently. Eventually, it's going to tear.

I've sold four bows this year and bought two.  There's a Hill for sale now that is tempting me seriously.

And for you middle aged guys with wives, just tell them what my Mom used to say about my Dad's gun buying habits, "It's cheaper than Corvettes and blondes."

But I just found a '99 Vette with less than 1,200 miles......Hmmm. A new T/D Hill to next to my 300 year old yew Union Jack or a '99 Vette to go next to my Harley. Decisions, decisions, decisions....

I like to peruse the classifieds as well. I typically open Tradgang 1-3 times daily. I always go to Pow Wow first and then to the Classifieds.

I occasionally check out Sponsor Classifieds to look at knives. I am ALWAYS late on those threads though as the ones I like are already sold.

I'm not tempted near as much because LH, 50-55#, and recurve don't come to together very often.  Of course as some I've met here can testify, these parameters have combined a dozen or more times over the past couple of years!

Of course I don't "need" any more bows or knives... or a few other things.
