Wilderness Custom Arrows goes on a sheep hunt!
« on: December 01, 2012, 10:53:00 PM »
I had the privilege to meet Walt Francis and his friend, Lenny Brown, and shoot with them at the North American Longbow Safari in Stanley, Id. this past summer.  I learned Lenny had drawn a bighorn sheep tag for his home state of Montana.  Lenny asked if I would make him some arrows that hopefully would be used in his quest for a sheep.
Well I just got an email with these pictures...love the bow in the air and the big smile!  Pretty cool!  I will be calling him in the next couple of days to hear the "rest of the story".  I will relay it in a further post.
Odds are I will probably never get a sheep tag. So by playing a small part in his hunt it is a real privilege for me and a great blessing to see the results.

To think that not many get the opportunity to hunt these majestic animals..then to kill one with a longbow and wood arrows! Just makes me smile.

Bighorn shep with a trad bow would be one of the ultimate hunts ever!

Looks like that snag arrow worked pretty well!

Congrats to Lenny!

That is awesome to harvest a sheep with any bow. I also put in every year in multiple states hoping to draw. Congrats for your arrows being used snag !

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.
