I have been blessed and haven't gone through some of the stuff you guys have.
I did have a couple employers who made it tough to hunt. No time off given and worked 6 days a week but would still go out, even if I only had a 1/2 hour of daylight, mostly out of spite, LOL!
One of my jobs was car dismantling. I would smell to high heaven of transmission fluid and oil. That season(last year in fact).
I thought all was lost. No way would a deer approach smelling like that. I took clean clothes to work and washed up the best I could in the bathroom sink.
On the way home, there was a tiny chunk of public land. I only had 45 minutes of light to hunt, so I crept in staying close to the road and climbed a small tree in my climber stand. Right before dark, I connected on this small doe.
She was a trophy to me because of the circumstances faced. I guess what I'm saying is try if you can, no matter how short your hunt may be.
