New BBO...(pics)
« on: August 17, 2007, 05:47:00 PM »
Haven't had that much time to work on bows lately, but I managed to finish this one up the other day. She's a osage and walnut tri lam. I cut down the trees and made the boards that this bow is made from myself using a jointer. Two layers of osage make up the limbs with a raw bamboo back. Osage and walnut handle/power lams; walnut underlays; and osage, walnut, and horn tip overlays. I threw on some Western diamondback skins to dress it up a little more. Pulls 50 pounds at 28 inches.

Sure it looks better than good, but... how does it shoot? Actually it looks so much better than the piece of driftwood I made it doesn't need to shoot good. Well done  :notworthy:
