Washington or Pacific Northwest bowyers?
«

December 07, 2012, 09:21:00 PM »
Hey everyone,
I was curious if anyone knows of bowyers (recurve or longbow) who work out of Washington state or, at least, the Pacific Northwest?
In planning for the order of a bow, I was thinking it might be cool to support a local bowyer. If you know of any, I'd also be interested in an assessment of the bow's performance.
Thanks everyone!

Well Nick Tortorelli (spelling) makes a nice bow, from Washington I believe, moved to MN while wife was working at Mayo Clinic, has since moved back to Washington is the word ive heard, don't know if he set up or back to building yet...his longbows were definitely worth looking at and shooting....makes recurves too...just liked his longbows better....
I'm sure there are others....

Fox Archery, Ron King, Wallowa, Or.
Liberty Bows, Allen Boice, Roseburg, Or.
Blacktail bows, Norm Johnson, Reedsport, Or.
I own bows from, Fox, Liberty, Wes Wallace, Cascade Archery. I would recommend any or all of them.

Well if you want to expand your circle to include Montana then you can also add Robertson Stykbow, Centaur, Bears Paw, and a few more that escape me right now.

If you click on my website it will take you there and you can see a few of the bows I have. I build a full line of bows from classic D longbows to D and r bows to three piece takedowns in most models plus recurve models.
God bless and Merry Christmas, Steve

James of J D Berry Archery lives in E. Washington State. James builds one heck of a bow and what a work of art. James is not only one of the top bowyers in Washington, he is one of the top bowyers in the U.S. James has been busy building custom bows for 32 years now. James also injoys talking archery over the phone and really knows is stuff when it comes to anything that involves archery. If you have the time give James a call and if close by stop by. You can see is web at
www.jdberryarchery.com
Also if your on the east side we could shoot a few arrows, let me know, happy shooting.
