who can make me arrows HONESTLY with right(same)spine, gr, I was had last 2 doz i bought...
now i have my own spine tester.
Getting arrows turned with matching spine is tougher than you would imagine...the guys who turn hundreds of shafts, or mass produce them bunch them up in groups of similar spine and sell them cheap.....I've been turning my own and checking spine as i go....it's a slow process and you come up with shafts that vary slightly in diameter, but at least they are all the same....now getting the same spine/same weight same length is even tougher to do.....
it's a great hobby to build your own woodies...but unless you have a lot of time on your hands, trying to build precision shafts made from wood is not very cost effective....It can be frustrating at times too.... The last batch i turned came out perfect....then i cut them too short to get the flex i needed...It's always something it seems..... I will be turning more in October.....
I had one of the guys here recommend adjusting the finished weight with extra dips of varnish, and that works well.....i got my hunting shafts within 5 grains doing that......Good luck to you...this building woodies takes the patience of Job sometimes....
