Non-ILF aftermarket limbs

Hi guys,
I'm in the process of building my own riser soon, but before i dive into it, I want to seek your opinions on it too!
I'm building a riser based on bingham's pronounced T/D longbow. Based on the blueprint, it will be using bezel limb bolts. I'm not building my own limbs so I wish to find aftermarket limbs to use, be it longbow or recurved.
The problem is with the connection.
I don't favor ILF as it isn't my style and I don't quite like the idea of limb pockets.
Are there any good (and hopefully cheap) alternatives for non-ILF limbs? Or is there a way to use ILF limbs without limb pockets?
Pictures to illustrate your advice will be very much appreciated.
God bless you all!

Samick Sage limbs are about $70.00 new. They also sell some other models that will work. These are the low end of the price chain.
Now if You want the upper end check out Dryad Orion limbs. I'm sure there are others.

Finally, a comment. *relieved*
I was about to change my mind and make my riser ILF instead! Totally not up for ILF, but let's just say Man needs to adapt to survive.
Anyway, do you think I should get something like a set of samick journey limbs? but they don't come with alignment pin holes, should I drill my own on them?
Hey, thanks for your help bud, good to know that help is always around on tradgang.

Drilling your own works well if you have a drill press. Mount the limbs on the riser and get them lined up straight then drill a 1/4" hole through the limb into the riser so everything lines up. I like to put the pins in the limb rather than the riser but it work both ways. After the holes are drilled you can fill the excess hole in the limb with a 1/4" hardwood dowel then glue an overlay over the limb to hide the hole. Easiest way to get everything lined up right. Good luck and have fun.

Do yourself a favor and build the riser to accept ILF limbs and you will never have to worry about finding limbs ever. Make it a bolt down if you want, just use the holes that are already in the limbs.

Good advice from Bob. Have you thought about the limb bed angle you're going to use? Different limbs are made to perform best at different limb bed angles. Just slapping on a pair of limbs won't necessarily lead to a good fit/performing bow. And if you want to change limbs, the second, third, etc., set of limbs will likely have different spacing between the holes unless they're made by the same manufacturer. But, it is doable, and one has to start somewhere. Good luck.

Hey,
Thanks for the input guys. Really appreciate it.
If I install an ILF mount, can I still use bezel connection set (as in using the existing ILF mount and replace the "stopper")?
Also, can I use ILF without limb pockets? I like to have my limbs protrouding.
Thanks for the advice guys!
I wish I could upload images to illustrate my point. :(

And oh, my limb pad is likely to be 11 or 12 degrees, it'll be a 4" long pad.
Almost for got this part.
