My wife may be right, ...........
« on: December 15, 2012, 08:11:00 PM »
My wife may be right,( but ill never admit it)  when she said ive got way to much stuff....But is there such a thing as to much, when it comes to trad. archery???????
While looking through my stashes for some broadheads in my "archery room", or the ( black hole, as my wife calls it) i discovered these 2 treasures which were purchased some time ago, Ben Pearson 304 T.D's cased and neatly placed on the top shelf in the closet.
Being one who cant pass up a good buy, if i remember correctly, ive got 60 bucks in the pair.
So heres the question,,, who else out there cant pass up on a good deal,,need it or not?
Secondly, how many of you have got way to much stuff, but just cant stand to part with anything?

I have a hard time passing on a good deal.  Less of a hard time selling some of my stuff to buy other stuff.   :bigsmyl:

I do not think I have too much stuff, but I am one who has a hard time parting with my stuff!

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

I am getting better.  I set a goal to live more simply and to minimize what I "need".  It hasn't resulted in me getting rid of a whole lot, but I have bought a LOT less.

Just today THE ADMIRAL asked "why do you need a dozen bows?"

This is GREAT because I only have ten bows, so I can buy two more and she'll never suspect.     :clapper:

I can't pass up a good deal. Last week I bought a RH bow at the gun show, and I'm Left handed. Happens all the time. My wife says I have way too many bows. I don't think more than 50 is too many.

If you're a "collector" don't you need one of each variation of each model???

I can honestly say without hesitation or exception I have never sold one bow or one gun... ever! Lol I still have the first bow I ever shot, A pretty little 20lb bear recurve... i would admit its not the best way to be but I suppose there are worse things a guy can do :)

I tell my wife I need multiple bows just like she needs multiple purses and shoes. One can never have to many. Bows that is.

I tell her I will get down to one bow when she gets down to one purse and one pair of shoes.  Never happen!

Your wife MAY be right, but I am sure mine is!  I was browsing through some new bows and she pointed out that she thought I was due for a new one since I had not ordered one for several years!   :clapper:     I am blessed!

I am in the same boat.
How could I pass up the single-loop NOS hemp bowstrings in that little store near my hunting camp? Good for bows up to 40 pounds!   :bigsmyl:

Killdeer~ where are my shoes?   :banghead:

I look at it this way, as long as my family is taken care of first, if I find something I want and can afford it, I buy it. Do I have too much stuff, probably. Got more arrows than I can ever use for one thing, but if I need em, I gots em. got more custom knives than I need, but I likes em. Got more backquivers than one man needs, but they make good holders for all them arras,LOL.

My wife is always finding "great" deals on stuff, I tell her that "We can't afford to save that much"
