Ain't none of my stuff that I couldn't get rid of but ain't none of my stuff that I particularly want to get rid of and so there lies the difference in philosophies betwixt my wife and I.

I agree with blackstick.
Bows, knives, arrows, wool clothing, packs etc are not just mere material possessions like some other things people collect. These things actually have inherent value in my opinion. If the economy "tanks" like blackstick says bows, arrows, knives, wool etc will still have value while your wives' Gucci purse and "bla-bla" fancy shoes will not. Dollar bills in the bank won't have much value either.

My archery/outdoor gear is an investment and I KNOW it will have value in the future. Unlike some of my electronic stuff computer, phone, printer, etc, which I doubt will be worth much in the future (it is already obsolete once it is a couple years old!)

I too am guilty of owning too much trad archery stuff... So now instead of buyin' something new, I'll use what I have and like it!    It's kinda like being with an ex-girlfriend.  :dunno:  Kinda.

I am also guilty of having too much archery stuf. I have 17 bows and probably five fletching tools and approximately 500 arrows, etc. I think of my guilty pleasure as my reward since I don't drink or smoke. Maybe I am just selfish! But I am 70 years old and I love shooting longbows  and recurves and hunting with them.

You know you have too much stuff when the local archery shop calls to borrow 100 white feathers till their order comes in.

This brings to mind the great philosophical question; "if a man alone in the forest speaks and his wife doesn't hear him, is he still wrong?    ;)

No such thing as too much stuff. Don't you remember the saying from a few years back, "Who dies with the most toys wins!"
