Georgia WMA hogs in February...any recommendations?
« on: December 16, 2012, 09:08:00 PM »
I'm wanting to work in a couple or three days on one of the Georgia WMA's at the end of February.  I've not been to any of them.  Anyone got any information/recommendations?
Also wondering if there's anything about any of the WMA's that makes them more trad friendly than others.

Find out  where the Howard Hill hog hunt is going on, a whole bunch of guys, and stay about a 1/2 mile up wind of them.  :bigsmyl:

What Chris said. It has a small campground next to a shooting range. The one 6 mile in road is bumpy but it is a Southern wilderness. Bring a good compass and know how to use it because everything looks the same once you leave the road and that time of year you gotta go deep.

Any WMA on the Altamaha River or lower Ocmulgee River. Chris and RC just gave you their favorite WMA. Take it.
