well i had a bushnell trail cam but found the camera very slow, most deer were out of the frame. returned that camera and was wondering what brand you guys prefer and why? thanks for any info

I like the Moultrie gamespy 200. It shows the time, temp, moon phase and date on every pic. Plus it's battery last about 5-6 weeks without recharging. The pic quality isn't bad either. Check out the trail cam pic thread I just posted some pics off of it. You can check out how it stamps the pics. Also it's delay is only 1 minute. It also takes 10 sec of video but I haven't tested that yet.

I recently went to buy a cuddeback and came home with a moultrie gamespy also. Great pics, infrared, 6.0 mega pixel, all for $299.

The new moultruie D40 is not a bad cam for $100.But for the money a quality homebrew cam is the best.For around $300 you can get a cam with a sony digital camera that you can remove from the cam and use as a regular digital.They also come with a security device built in.I know a guy who makes a good one pm me if you are interested.You can also check out chasingame.com for cam reviews.
