Hope for the Spring

I took a short walk today scouting for some deer hunting next week. I rounded the corner and BLAM!! Swamp Chickens everywhere.Gotta wait till spring,no Fall season here.RC

I have been thinking about finishing my year out chasing turks. I don't know anyone that takes advantage of our fall season around here.

Today was my last day at work until Jan 2. Plan on hunting hard and scouting too on some new ground. Always enjoy your posts RC ! One day when I grow up I hope to be a 1/10 of the hunter and outdoorsman you are.......  :readit:

Wished I had a Fall tag left..you can literally get a shot opportunity at a bird everytime you hunt around here..they'll drive you crazy.

We've had hardly any cold and snow here in West Michigan but I'm already looking forward to spring!

The winter turkeys are definitely a different bird here in Georgia. You almost can't run them off from under your tree stands and they stand there and give you beautiful bow shots.
Seeing 15 or 20 and 10 being gobblers is the norm.

During our spring season they act completely different and will leave the county if they even suspect anything is wrong.
