50's longbow commitment
« on: December 23, 2012, 01:53:00 PM »
Since receiving this 52, Bear Polar longbow, i cant keep my hands off of it, seems every chance i get im out pounding the bag with it, being smooth, pointable and a hard hitter, my shooting and confidence with this bow has made me leave my other bows on the rack.
So with that in mind, im gonna commit most all my time this spring and summer with this ole girl in prep. for next season, with the hope of harvesting a deer with it.
These old bows were built to hunt, so if you got one, spend some time with it, you might be really surprised at how well they perform.   [/IMG]

I'm looking for a 50's bow myself...maybe one my same age...from 1957.
Happy shooting and hunting!

I plan to follow in your footsteps.  I bought a Bear Alaskan with orange glass on teh belly.  I hope to hunt with it next fall.
