Any deer down yet?

Our season opener was on the 15th but I have not had the opportunity to get out into the woods yet.  Anyone having any luck yet?

Passed a small buck yesterday morning. Had a shooter out of range in the PM and and several does all in slam dunk range. I'll be glad when Sept 15th gets here and the antlerless tags are valid.

I took a big-bodied red-buck (looks like a whitetail, with redish brown color)with my Shrew Classic Hunter...yesterday, right at sunrise.  Boned out, packaged and now in my freezer!!

Rico, the whole state is in season, as far as this 'damn' island comment, I am starting to feel that way myself because the only hunting authorized here is with shotguns.  They will not allow people to bowhunt on Paradise Island.

You should see the antelope and mulie bucks that are being taken out here since 1 Aug.  A woman took an awesome antelope and several guys have nive-in velvet- mulies.  Pics on the wall at House of Arrows in Spark,NV

LOL. The only people that I have heard refer to it as "that damned island" are those devil dogs who were boots there.

Scott F, check your regs. Only a few counties in the coastal plain of SC are in season. The state has 5 game zones, all with different seasons.

Lee, you are right and I am sorry if by accident I led someone astray.  The only place that I intend on hunting is the MCAS in Beaufort and the Savannah Wildlife Refuge.  It is legal season now at the air station.

Abel.  You are absolutely correct!  This is my third time here, once as a recruit and now I am on my second tour as a Marine.
