What I read was that the renaming to Force 10 was to distinguish it for the Xbow folks.

After reading a post a while back saying that D10 was no longer being manufacturing, I called BCY. They stated that the D10 was not being discontinued but only renamed and marketed under crossbow materials. He said the material was not changed what-so-ever. It is exactly the same as before, the same diameter, strength, creep, material, etc.
