No, I haven't shot a deer yet this season.  Been shooting trad exclusively this season so far, but alas still have the @#$%%#$ bow I bought a good while back sitting in its case collecting dust..been considering selling it once and for all to have a 100% trad household, LOL.  Well, after milling around thinking about it I finally discovered the proper motivation...

I'm going to buy my wife a mandolin!!!  She's a music therapist and its an instrument she's always wanted to learn to play and she has always lamented the cost of one.  She's birthing our first child soon and she deserves a gift.  I considered jewelry, she doesn't really want that.  Been wracking my brain trying to come up with a good idea. WELL!  I remembered the dang mandolin!  She'll never see it coming and I know her, she'll love it!  She'll be so excited to learn to play for her patients...and our new baby girl!!!

GOODBYE WHEELIE!

Way to go! I still haven't parted with my wheelie (too many memories)  ;)

Congratulations on becoming a parent! Your wife will love the mandolin! The best gifts
are the ones someone put some thought into.

A hunt based only on trophies taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be . . . time to commune with your inner soul as you share the outdoors with the birds, animals, and fish that live there.

Awesome idea for a gift! Take it from one who plays and sings, with the desire to learn, the gift of music will bring her a lifetime of enjoyment.

I would sell the one I still have left but it's not worth anything........selling yours to get the wife something she's wanted sounds like a good idea!

Very good! She will certainly appreciate your thoughtfulness. Also, raising kids (and grandkids) is the most fun hobby you can get into, especially when they can follow you afield. Congratulations.
