Long arrow options????
« on: January 01, 2013, 02:43:00 PM »
Looking for arrow options longer than 30in.  With my draw I can't shorten as part of tuning.  My search didn't turn up any results although I think I've seen threads before,
Thx in advance

I shoot full length aluminum shafts.  They are about 33".

I would avoid wood with that type of arrow length.

Take a look at Carbon Express Maxima 150,they are 33" long.Or you might look at AD Trad Lite,I think I remember them being fairly long around 32" to 33".

If you go to 3Rivers website or if you have their catalog they give all that info on all of the shafts.

I believe the Traditional only are 32-33" in the 350's and 400's ....I know they are at least 32".

They are decent shafts too....

I am ordering traditional only 300 shafts, so I can get the spine I need for a 32" arrow.

I have the same dilemma... only worse!  I have a 32.5" draw and shoot Easton Flatlines and CE Maxima Blue Streaks. Both come in at or over 33" and are quality arrows.  The CE's are on the expensive side, but are very good arrows.  I still have to be aware of my broadheads so I can keep all my fingers! :-0

My draw length is 31.5", and I shoot Carbon Express Heritage 250s.  But I also use a nock insert that allows me to glue a Bohning Classic Index nock on the end.  Makes it even longer.

Wood.  32" uncut.  Taper for nock and you're still 32" to valley of nock.  3/4" head taper and you have 31-1/4" BOP.  That leaves 3/4" broadhead clearance in front of hand for a 30-1/2" draw.

I shoot full length GT 55/75's out of my Bushbow. It is #55 @ 32. I draw a tad longer. 250 gr head and 50gr brass insert, fly good, kill good.
