I wanted to get one last hunt in before the season ended and attempt to fill my last tag. I took my new all Mohogany Siren out hoping to get some blood on it. The morning was cold and crisp but no deer. I headed back to the car for lunch, warm up, and a short siesta. At about 2 pm I got into stand number two on the edge of a pasture. 30 min. before dark the deer started filing out. Down the edge they came toward my perch. This one finally stepped broadside at about 18 yards. I picked my spot, drew, achored, and the arrow was on the way. I love the way time seems to go in slow motion. I watched the white fletched GT spin and bury up. A hour or so later myself and TJK68 followed a crimson blood trail against the white snow to find the deer. Last tag filled.
What a great season. Thank you TJK68 for your fellowship, tracking skills, and inviting me to hunt with you on your farm. It is greatly appreciated. "GOOD TIMES".
Mr. Jim Gainey of Arley AL had a part in this too. Thanks Jim for your craftsmanship. I have several and they will do their job if I do mine.
Looking forward to next season.
