Hi I've got A 55# 62" Mohawk  and love it.  Can't tell you how the two different models compare but.....mine is smooth, quiet,  and quick.

I purchased a Sparrowhawk new about one month ago and love it.  I have never shot the classic.

I do live close to Vince.  When I purchased my bow, Vince explained his bow building process, helped me pick out wood, let me shoot several bows he had in the shop (all Sparrowhawks I think), and met with me to help customize my grip.

I would encourage you to call Vince and discuss it; he is very helpful.  And I will tell you  this, Vince's personal bow is a Sparrowhawk -- a pretty one.

They are both excellant shooting bows, you will not find a better longbow then what Vince builds. He is great to talk with, I just ordered another Sparrowhawk 64" 63@28".

Ha RC you gotta money tree down there in that swamp? Actually I am in the process of selling a bunch of stuff...bows, guns, boat etc to pay off some credit card debt. Self inflicted pain is the worst! My boy's go to private christian school the oldest graduates this year state college will be cheap! Then comes my Mohawk maybe before if I get enough junk sold cant wait. This fever is bad.

Ahhh. Never realized that TJK. Then I can honestly say I like both of the models. I agree with RC too. What the heck, get both. You will not be disappointed.

X2 on calling Vince. When I ordered my Sparrowhawk he really helped me and walked me through everything. This was my first custom bow. And when I order a second it will be from Vince. He is a top notch guy!

Saw this thread earlier but just getting around to posting.
I've had 4 Mohawks, the first 3 being the standard model. Great bows, don't think I've found a smoother bow but then my fourth was a Sparrowhawk and it shot like a dream. Foolishly sold it...gonna try and maybe find it back.
Vince is a great individual and will make ya happy.
Order with confidence!

Eric

Eric I have sold my Mohawks in the past also always thinking   there was a better bow out there that I could shoot better or be even smoother . After trying many nice longbows i realize that the Mohawk has everything i want and need in a longbow . I sure am glad I got one back at the house now .

ditto Brittman.  Ive had a few through here,  always needing to sell, usually because ive needed shop repairs etc....  BUT theres something about Vince' Mohawks that just feel "right"... just sweet longbows.
