Coastal Bend longbow
« on: January 03, 2013, 06:02:00 PM »
Anyone ever shot one of these. Company is out of Florida and just a small shop. Bows look sharp but never shot one. Just wondering if anyone has good or bad things to say about them.

nineworlds9- looks like I got some misinformation. I googled it and the only Coastal Bend I can find is in Texas. May have nothing to do with their name thought, just sayin.

Shawn lives in Florida but he is from Texas.  His bows are really fast and quiet. Great guy to deal with too.

I have never shot his bow, but I have talked with him on FB and another website, and he seems like a great down to earth person that I would have no problem dealing with, and his bows are dang fine looking. The info above is correct, he lives in Florida, but he is from Texas. He builds bows, when he is not fighting fires.
Ask me about CTO.

I own one of his bows one of the better longbows I've shot in my humble opinion... He made it to my spec. and for the price I couldn't beat it...

I've had mine for a few years now and it is my favorite trad bow to hunt with. It actually had me turn away from Recurve bows a bit and start shooting longbows more.

And mine being 65@28 she sends a 700 grain arrow screaming out of her..

One of the most dead in the hand bows I've ever shot, it is a thing of beauty and I would recommend one to anyone...

Mine has horn tips as well, it is bocate and its a bow that just fits your hand when you pick it up.

I just bought a used one piece longbow and have probably only shot 100 arrows through it so far.

It has an amazingly smooth draw and really zings and arrow, besides being a nice looking bow.

I bought it as I have never owned a R/D longbow before and wanted to try one.

I have been busy shooting it and have not taken any pictures yet.

Thanks for the kind words fellas.  I build them as a passion and as a second job from the fire department.  Im close to retiring and I was told I cant sit at home and do nothing.
