I just got a new to me Toelke whip 60" 60@28. I'm not going to lie, when I pulled it out of the tube My first thought was...did I just buy a kids bow? It is so slim and light....just tiny in fact, now I am a big dude with hams for hands, I'm thinkin that there is no way that I can shoot this. Now fast foreward to this mornin when I finally get to take it out to the range, HOLY SMOKES!! This aint no kids bow, it rocks out a 625gr arrow, and soooo quiet, by far the most quiet bow I have ever shot! My little girl was with me shooting, and she said she can't hear it. We talk about bows with no hand shock...what we mean is verey little, but damn....this is something new, like NO hand shock. I gotta say, if you have been thinkin about gettin a new whip, you are takin too long, you owe it to your self to shoot one....this little bow ain't goin no where!

The Whip and Classic Whip are the finest longbows I've personally shot.

Welcome to the club. Mine was also used (can't figure out why anyone would want to part with 'em though).

Everything you said and more.

I've loved all mine. Even the ones I've sold. I've got a couple now that I'm very much enjoying.

I love my Toelke Super D.  It's really the ONLY bow I have never thought of parting with.

My first trad bow was a Whip. Outstanding bow! Took my first ever whitetail buck with it a couple years later after missing with my first shot. So quiet the deer never even noticed and gave me the opportunity for a follow up...

Enjoy!

I got a Whip a few months back and wholeheartedly agree with you!  Several of the guys at my club have commented about how "dainty" for a lack of a better word, it is.  They all agree it doesn't shoot dainty though!  Great bows, I WILL be getting another.

I got my first longbow last spring after shooting only recurves all my long life and it is a 60'Whip 40#@26".  Dan built it with cocobolo riser and juniper limbs.  It is a real beauty, quiet and lethal even at that poundage.  There is venison in my freezer and I am a happy archer.  It may be that I saved the best for last.  Thanks Dan!  Lou

Well, here she finally is. 60" 60@28 with the GN quiver that I re-covered in a pattern that maches my arm guard. The arrows are Goldtip that I added brass behind the insert to bring the total weight to 625gr. I wanted to make new wood arrows, however my wife said that as long as I had over 24 Goldtips....I better use em. She makes a good point ( and I like sleepin in my bed ) so I went with this set up, and am perty happy that I did. I usually don't name my own bows, but in this case I will call her Whisper, she really is that quiet.
