I am sure that you have read it, if you have a long draw with a recurve, you will have a shorter draw with a Hill. Will this bow draw smoothly at that draw length? You are bound to get an answer that will say it does not stack, but at 28" and more the longer Hills shoot way way better.

I'd say way short. 68" would be minimum I think. Just my opinion though.

Go longer IMHO - that's when these bows really come into their own.

Ralph, hope you find what you are looking for it is tough trying to decide. I am in the same boat right now looking hard at the Hill style but I don't really want a longer bow. I like them 64" or less and really prefer shorter. Good luck!

I wouldn't do it myself. I draw 28" and like 68" bows the best--66" is marginal in a Hill style bow for me.

To answer your question Yes!
You can call Craig at HH yourself to get the answer. Craig many years ago stated bamboo limbs will not stack until 32" (to me) all other limb woods 30". The Wesley has bamboo limbs. Many believe the longer the bow the smoother the draw. It is all in the design of the bow and materials. I have a two 60" Recurves (Bruin and Super Kodiak)and draw them to 32" easily without issue and a 64" Longbow although a R/D Bear Ausable. No string angle or finger pinch while shooting. Had a 66" Wesley I hunted almost exclusively with for many years drawing 32" without stack until the weight got to my degenerating body. I also had a 70" Redman that was a lighter weight but started to stack after 30". Just my experience's, good luck to you and enjoy your journey.

I'd probably go longer in length if it was me and wait for another thats better suited to your draw ...

Guess I'll be the odd man. For years I shot a 64" Big Five that was 60@29 and I draw 29. It shot like a dream for me. Never had a problem with the length. It was also the most accurate bow I had. I still shoot it once in a while now, but the weight is a little much for me these days. Did I mention gettin' old sucks.
Good luck.

64 for a 29" draw TOO short you need a min of 66" but even that's pushing it man, I'd try to find a 68" bow if I were you!!!

Most Hills I have have had were a bit heavier than they said......I had a 64" Hill and I draw 29"....I did not notice any stack it was the weight that came across to me. It was 2-3 pounds heavy and then with another inch of draw that made it 5-6 pounds and it was to much! Like I said I felt no stack!

No way for your draw. 70"would be the rt lenght. I went to bob wesleys bow camp. I had never shot a hill bow and of course I wanted one he said be would order it for me and lnspect it before fur turning ot over to me a tembo brownglass white belly exquisite beautiful a 70"bow. He said"thiswill shoot the bestfor you" I draw 27.5.bob knowslongbows he would advise you not to get a 64"hhill at your draw.

For straight limb bows like a Hill,I wouldn't go shorter then 66" and I draw 27".I have a 66" and 68" Hill bows I shoot.

I shot my recurve with a 29 inch draw....now that I shoot Hill style I am pulling a solid 27" with bent arm and low heel grip and my 66" inch Hill shoots like a dream! 64"?? Might be pushing it....
