I use 4 on my bows. I use the same amount of material that I used for 2 before, so performance wise I don't see it making any real difference. I like the look of 4 smaller silencers and it seems to my ears to quieter better.

Most hybrids I can get real quiet with a good 8 stand like a SBD amd half a set of cat whiskers split between two spots. On recurves I do the same then wrap string ends. If I still want it quieter, I will add a second half set, but never really more than one set split up in four spots. This adds no more weight than one set, but I think works better to kull the different tone vibrations in current spots on the string.

I usually to two sets of cat whiskers cut 1 1/4"

cut out all the vib and shock from my titan ILF set up and wasnt any performance loss that I could personally tell.  looks kinda cool to lol

I like to cut a set of cat whiskers in half to make 2 pairs.

When I use wool puffs I only use one set.

Often with catwhiskers I use 2 sets made very small. As some guys metioned above.Cutting the strip in half.

On inherantly quiet bows one set of catwhiskers cut in half or a smaller set of wool puffs is enough for me to dampen string oscillation.

The least amount that I can get away with , Hush pups usualy a 1/2 set. Prefere small rubber kind though . Just puts a dead thump in the bow and hard to see.

All but one bow has one set. The one recurve has two sets of small ones. What ever works.
