Mohawk vs JD Berry vs Crow Creek

Ok gang ...as you can tell I got it narrowed down to either a Mohawk Sparrowhawk OR a JD Berry Argos OR a Crow Creek Dalton...HELP please ! Hopefully I can get some feedback from those who have shot all 3 models. Thanks

Sorry I canny help, but I can say that JD berry does fantastic work and I could not be more pleased with my two.  Sure any would be wonderfull choices

your question is very subjective, and one that pops up monthly if not weekly at the least.  

all the bows you've mentioned are far more than capable of working extremely well for you in all manners of performance, durability, materials and "looks".  

since the key to all bows is "subjective and immediate evaluation", no one can tell best how a bow will "fit" them unless they get it in their hands and fling a few shafts.  therefore, there is absolutely no other way for you, the asker and buyer, to ever know.

all the accolades, and nay sayers, and middle of the road opinions of others are just that - opinions of others.  since these three bows have exceptional track records, the bottom line and buck will stop when you get to personally evaluate each, in your hands and using them.

if you can't have a personal interaction with a bow, yer buying on speculation ... aka "gambling".  this is one reason why our trad bow classifieds has hundreds of bows up for sale or trade.

I have had a mohawk and an argos. Never shot a dalton. I prefered my argos over my mohawk. But thats me.

I've had several Renaissance and 1 Argos and 2 Mohawks. I have 1 Renaissance left and both the Mohawks. The Argos and 2 Renaissance have all had limb failure.

That sux dan. I have had my taipan for 8 years or so never had any problems. And i shoot more than most. Did u ever contact james? He stands by his work.

dnovo I don't own any of these bows but wow 4 different limb failures?  what was specs on these bows vs your draw  because I understand anythings possible I even had a 70" Jack Harrison HHC snap the top limb at my full 27" draw which I then threw in a dumpster where it belonged but C'mon 4 different Berry bows broke limbs on you?  I have to respectfully say that I find that really hard to believe without knowing more,, you must of took pics?   I've heard nothing but good things abut berrys and mohawks even when it was JD Berry it was nothing but good stuff...

JD Berry has emailed me that he has heard nothing from dnovo about any bow failures at all.

And, that he has tried to contact dnovo about these claims  that have been made on other threads with no response.

dnovo,...have you contacted JD Berry about ANY of these breakages?

I have never seen or shot either of the other 2 bows but I do prefer the Dalton. But I would say that.  lol

Rob, the Dalton has about the same r/d as the Mohawk, ive owned several of both.

There is no answer to which is the best, you just have to shoot each and find out what you like/dislike about each and make your decision.

yep, i see that now.  both the argos and dalton are also mild r/d longbows that brace to a "D" limb shape, same as the mohawk family.

DNOVO I asked you a while back why you didn't like Berry bows and you told me a different story. I see your a PBS member. I was told you PBS guys are the cream of the crop of all the bow community. Seems to me you should give James a call and be professional about it. PBS bylaws say to handle this stuff professionally. Unless you stopped paying your dues.

Jd berry made bows for myself and my 2 kids. Yrs ago .my taipan is for sale because im a southpaw now and cant pull it.none of them broke yet. The grandkids arealmost ready to shoot a couple that my son had .

I love my Argos... I have a Taipan that is ten years old (I am 3rd owner) and a new Vixen on order... I cannot wait for that one to be finished!  

I cannot speak to the other bows, I am sure they are great too, but a Berry bow is very special.
