Thank you Trap!  The funny thing is that I was trying for a shade like your blue ones pictured with the Bear tape-on quiver on page 2...

I was flip flopping between green or orange feathers/cresting on that gray set that I made and after seeing your turkey arrows I realize that I should've gone with orange instead of green, the colors look great together!

Great looking arrows Tree Killer!

Everyone has posted some really nice arrows.

What I notice is some of us like a satin finish and some of us like the gloss look. I wonder if this tells what kind of person we are. All are great looking arrows, but I'm more of a satin guy then a glossy guy. LOL

Darn.  Looks like I may have another hobbie.  So what are the have to have list of tools for building wooden arrows.  Besides a good fletching jig.  I done dozens of carbons but never wood.

Besides a fletching jig...just a saw of some variety to cut the shaft to length ... a way to taper the nock and point, whether it's a hand tool or disk sander with a block...a cresting machine if you want something special ... time and patience.

Making them purty doesn't make them fly any truer, so it's up to one's imagination how fancy your arrows are in your quiver.

Here's some more arrows fletched with Matt Gundock (aka Magnus) prepared turkey feathers.  Crown and crest work from David Lawson (aka Snag) from Wilderness Custom Arrows.

LoL Trap, I'm scrolling through the thread, come across your first post and the first word that comes to mind is STOP already, as I can't take it anymore as those arrows are a sight to be seen and they're not on my string. Then I think, nope don't stop

Perfect answer, TK, esp the time and patience part.  Attention to detail makes for good arrows.

Haha,

nice to see this thread I started myself is still alive.... Thanks to all your answers I became a believer in the mean time and ordered some Wild Turkey feathers from Matt. He is a great guy and his feathers are just perfect. I combined them with GT traditionals and did the "artwork" myself:

And here you see them in my Thunderhorn Small Fry Sidewinder quiver on my Whippenstick Phoenix:
