He's the best story teller, bar none!!
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

We were lucky enough to have him speak at our state club the second year after we started and what a story teller !!! Still laugh about the way he described the African guides calling him, " Boss "......  :biglaugh:

Now that is an Alaskan adventure! Monty can sure tell a great story.

I'm pretty sure Annie was glad his prayers were answered as well!

It is even better when you get to hear it in person.  Monty did a presentation last year at Compton on that hunt and it was chilling.

I have a spot reserved in the Alaska wilderness soon to follow in his footsteps...without the scary stuff!

Steve, you're right. I had the pleasure of seeing him at Kazoo many years ago. He told the story of walking up on a feeding bear with cubs, realized he left his pistol on his pillow back at camp. I don't think there was a dry eye in the auditorium. Also, good luck and happy hunting on your Alaskan adventure!

"The Mariner was not a full size or professional raft but it was the right size and weight to be tossed out of a Super Cub. It was not designed for fast water, rocks, sweepers, or hauling 700 pounds of moose meat plus one grown man and all of his gear. Pile a moose rack and skull on top of that and you have the perfect recipe for disaster--that's me."

LOL, thats classic Monte Browning.

Had the pleasure of meeting him a few years ago at a sportsmans banquet at a local Church. As fine a Gentleman as you will ever meet!

Monty is pure class I had the opportunity to shoot with him years ago at some 3D shoots. He knocked the McKenzie targets nearly over he was shooting a 95lb homemade Hill style longbow with fiberglass fish arrows. He told me he was sure if a yearling walked under his stand those arrow would kill it if he just dropped one on it. He also spoke at our Traditional Bowhunters of Georgia banquet. Great christian man, husband, and bowhunter. Any yes he has a fantastic tolerent wife his stories are spell binding. You gotta hear the cape buffalo story!

  What a writer...I also enjoy hearing him speak so boldly about his faith.

I'll bet if those arrows are ever found they  are mistaken for  spears    :)
