Did some wandering around this morning. Today was the last day of bow season so I stuck a Woodsman tipped arrow in my quiver just in case.
Wanted to check out some spots that I had never been to in the area I hunt.

LA Trapper, thats my Kingwood CHX. 58" and 53@28. Great shooting bow, I found it on the classifieds here when it was just a couple of months old.  Its a definite keeper!

Here are some more stumpin' pics from yesterday.

Backwater from the Meramec River. Kept hearing what sounded like faint .22 rifle shots, turns out  it was the ice cracking as the water level fell.

Remains of an old stand, found a new one a few yards away, some spots are good for a long time!

Kip,

Is that a coonass palm tree in your picture?  LOL

Hey I still have that picture of you "telling it like it is" at the LTB Sterling Harrell Shoot last year.

arrived this afternoon at 2:30 and greated the locals.

this would be my roommate brians first ever day stump shooting. He is a relative newcomer to trad.

this is my first day out in 2013!!

one of the firsts of the day. hit my stump and the arrow goes whirling off and sticks in a limb 35 yards behind the original stump!!

here is a skinny tree we both hit at 30 yards

and my 65-70 yard center punch!!

it was a great day in the north georgia mountains!!

I'd like to get out roving, we don't have much snow but the high today was 2 degrees! I wouldn't get more than a few shots, then I couldn't feel my string hand anymore.

Celeb7mm, The picture of the shot you guys took at the same target reminded me of a pic I got of the same spot my buddy and I hit. We were only about 20 yds though.
