Hey guys, looking at a used Cold Mountain Longbow for sale. Any particulars, good or differant about them I should know.

Would like to see some pics if anybody has some of theirs just to get a feel as to handle shape, tip shapes, and window area.

reason I say this is there are very few pics on web of them. Thanks

If this is a Cold Mountain long bow by Bill Stroupe of North Carolina, then I can say it is very nice. I know Bill personally and have shot his bows and they are up there with anyone else's out there.

You should give Bill a call if you need any additional information. He is a great guy to talk to.

Welcome aboard Countcoup43.
I will 2nd Rick- Bill makes a fine longbow. I have one of his Longbows, and I like it very much. It is a beautiful bow and performs very well. I would be glad to take some photos, but I would have to e-mail them to you. I can't quite figure out how to post photos. Bill is a great guy, a pleasure to talk to and very talented. He also makes a recurve, arrows, bow strings and leather back quivers.

So far sounds like they are definitely worth more than a double take . Been hunting and shooting a Wallace Mountain for 16 years now along with several curves but just got that itch for a little more RD out of my Longbow. Talked myself out of anything different for years which I guess should be a testament to Dave's bows and how they perform but???

Just time to try some other gems I know are out there!!

Panhead my email addy should be in my profile if you don't care to shoot me a few pics. Yes these are the Bill Stroupe Bows . Found enough info online about them to intrigue me!!

Just to mention also, Bill does not take a arm and a leg for payment as some others out there.

I just moved to NC and he is usually at the Carolina Trad monthly shoot.  All the locals rave about his bows.  Have not shot them, but cosmetically he is right up there with the best.
