Selling bows at Kalamazoo
« on: January 21, 2013, 03:24:00 PM »
I will be heading to Kalamazoo and was wondering if anyone has taken in used bows to sell. I know there is a gentleman that has a booth set up just inside the main doors that has used bows for sale. Does he sell the bows for you or does he buy them from you and then sell them for a profit.
Any info would be appreciated.
Cheers Darcy

Last time I was there, 3-4 years ago, you were alowed to sell one bow.  I saw quite a few guys walking around with a bow and for sale sign attached.  Might want to call Great Northern as I think they are a big part of this show.

No hallling around bows to sell.  You put then at the table and signe them in for sale.  You pay a commission is what every you think is reasonable. I don't thik it is set.

What do you have for sale?   :D

I have a few longbows to sell. Because I'm in Canada selling on tradgang just doesn't work very well because of the border. I have a Dan Toelke whip 10 out of 10, a Turkey creek again 10 out 10, and I might have few others. The reason I'm selling is I like my recurves better. Most of bows are 50# to 55# range.

Lonnie Collins "Recycled Recurves" is the guy you are talking about.  He doesn't ask a set commission, just what you feel fair.  I pay him 10% and he seems happy with that.  Lonnie always has a good crowd at his tables and moves a bunch of bows. I'm taking some more up this year.

PM me about your Whip.

Why not try to put them up for sale here with the stipulation that they can be picked up at Kalamazoo?  Just a thought...
