Hi there Trad Gang, I've been hiding in the shadows here for some time, I figured I'd post a little about myself for an intro post. I've shot longbows all through high school and for a year afterwards but unfortunately got out of it for a few years due to work (Infantry)and after I got back from Afghanistan I decided to get myself a new bow, so I had an old friend and local bowyer make me a 3 piece take down recurve and much to my surprise, he inlaid a special edition veterans 25 cent coin, if I can figure out my camera I'll eventually post pictures. I've only been out hunting with my old longbow a few times  but the plan is to try for one of the black tail deer we have on Vancouver Island this fall, I have some friends with farmland that will hopefully allow me to fill my freezer this fall. I've learned a massive amount by lurking here so thanks for all the great info!!

thanks for the responses guys, I'm really excited to get into the woods this fall with a bow instead of my service rifle and 70 pounds of gear. pruiter, same invitation for you if you come down to the island. I've always wanted to head north, looks like beautiful country up there
