This issue isn't going away anytime soon, and we must stick together.  After all, the 2nd Amendment isn't just about guns.  They will not hesitate to go after crossbows, compounds, traditional bows, any kind of weapon.  

The people who are going for our guns are the same people who want to do away with hunting.  Tradgang is a fantastic site, and I'm pretty confident that the moderators understand the gravity of this issue and how it relates to traditional bowhunting.  It's going to be awfully difficult to have a tradional bowhunting forum if there is no hunting.  Maybe we can all talk about the good 'ol days.  

Not me.  It's time to be political.  It's time to be offensive.

Would it be OK to talk about if they were coming for our bows and arrows?  Take it to the extreme and imagine if one of these cowardly school shooters had been using an "evil" looking compound or recurve, with a name like Cryptic, or Slayer, and had one of those dreaded hi-capacity back quivers.  I know it sounds ridiculous, but don't think for a second that they wouldn't use it to come for all bows.  They want an unarmed citizenry, and they are not going to stop trying, and if they can get the unalienable right that protects the rest of our rights, do you think they won't take those away as well?

I guess as a Montana boy I never knew there was a difference between a weapon and a bow!  
In all seriousness though, we hunters have enough trouble defending our right to hunt. Taking weapons away from us removes our ability to hunt AND to defend ourselves.
If Terry doesn't like this thread then by all means he can remove it and I will not shed a tear.
