Adapters in glue in broadheads

I'm interested in hearing the process that those of you that add adapters to glue in broadheads follow.  It would be good to hear the prep you do, the glue/epoxy, how you align them, etc...

I have some that the ferrule is obviously out of round. You can see its been flattened slightly. Any ideas on avoiding throwing these in the trash would also be appreciated.

Don't worry about the ferrules, you should still be able to get them to spin true.  Just don't mash the head down on the adapter, slowly spin it in using gentle pressure until it's gently seated and then spin it true.

I clean both adapters and the insides of the ferrules with Iso alchohol and Q-tips first.

For my arrows I prefer low temp hot melt like Super 735, because I tend to move things around over time and it works really well anyway.  For customer's heads I use epoxy.

I use hot melt for inserts and adaptors.  Just don't overdo it on the heat or amount of glue used, and follow Braveheart's mounting instructions.

Exactly what I do except I use Easton's hot melt.

I'm really interested in the process of spinning them true. Seems easy when I use hot melt glue. But with epoxy it takes do long to set some heads move after the initial spin test.

I use an epoxy gel, it's much thicker and easier to work with.  It gives me plenty of time to spin the jhead, but it has a thicker consistency so if you're careful with it, the head won't move once you get it where you want it.

I also hang the arrows with mounted heads from the nock end to finish set up and drying so  gravity keeps them straight, and they don't shift once I have them the way I want them.

I have always used the aluminum and steel adapters with glue on broadheads.
I use regular archery hot melt glue after cleaning the heads and adapters with Acetone.

I have never had one come off, even in hard broadhead targets. I have removed and switched heads and adapters several times too.
