good finish for sinew backed
« on: January 30, 2013, 04:13:00 PM »
I may be getting a sinew backed bow that needs finished.
What would be a good choice?
I may paint the bow but I was wondering what I should use as a protect finish?
I thought about the faux snake linen...but not sure

If the sinew is coarse you can make a tite bond 3 glue and sawdust mixture (putty) to fill it in this will also, add, water proofing. Still can add something decorative if desired.

Tru-oil.  Hard, water proof, easy to work with...
