Gorgeous St Joe Longbow

She shoots better than she looks if that's even possible.


Going to try as hard as I can to be a longbow man. I've tried several and usually know within the first few shots if it'll work out...longbows and I just never get along.

I think that's going to change. I've sent a few hundred arrows down range and I can't get enough. Has the same grip as my St Joe recurve which has seemed to offer the same sight picture, and I'm finally seeing the pros of longbows.

Its only 5fps slower than my recurve of the same weight, but its so much more quiet, and is more forgiving of nock placement. As in, not too tiller dependant. So, forgiving. Also offers the same shock free feel as my recurve but at way less riser mass weight. I think I'm gonna be in love.

I did see the pics before they were removed. A real good looking bow, nice lines.

Good to know I'm not the only one who has pics removed because of resizing problems....

Well, pics I upload directly to photobucket through an app on my phone. I then use the IMG code when making a post. The app has no tools for resizing photos  and neither does the software on my phone. Since I rarely ever get on a computer anymore, it makes it difficult.

I have always likes the look of st.joe bows. I thought they had eeally wise limbs though? Did they make yours more narrow or am i just seein the pic wrong. I love a nice narrow and.deep limb.

Tracey can customize the limbs to be more narrow and deeper if desired.          
 
 She did this on my bow as well and I must say that the narrow limbs are very speedy and exceptionally  quiet, even with med weight arrows.     :cool:   Out of the available limb types they have, I prefer the narrow limbs.    

 Bryan, I bet that bow is a real shooter, congrats!!

What Arwin said. His latest bow and subsequent reviews are the foundation for this bow. Its basically an exact copy, cept I think his is 58" and mine is 60".  I'm glad I got it. Arwin has a great thread chronicling the design and build of his longbow.

I love the size of the riser and the larger grip, seamless transition from my recurve to this longbow.
